Your Safety Is Very Important to Me

While my goal is to have every customer be a happy customer, there are certain situations when I will not paint a child or adult.

If they show signs to be sick, including fever, coughing, runny nose, red eyes, etc. or if there is an open wound present, I will suggest that we paint another area (an arm or cheek instead of the full face, for example.) 

Please be understanding if I need to make a judgement call on my part to protect the rest of the children. 

My Products and Safety

I am currently using the following paints:  Ben Nye Lumiere Powders, Wolfe Face Art & FX , Kryolan, Paradise Paints by Mehron and Snazaroo.  These are all water based professional face/body art makeup products that are removed easily with your regular soap and warm water.  All ingredients in these brands have been FDA approved. 

All glitter is approved for face painting and all glitter tattoos and adhesives are from Amerikan Body Art and have been approved for use on skin.

I do NOT use acrylic or craft paints, glitter or glue!  These are not made or tested for use on skin!

Whether you choose me as your face artist or not, it is important to know what paints your artist is using.  Don’t be afraid to ask!  If they don’t tell you or aren’t sure what they are using, be wary!  Also be sure that their glitter is made for face painting.  Craft glitter is too sharp and if it gets in the eye, it can cut the cornea and lens!

If you or your child has an allergy to certain cosmetic products, I will tell you I'd rather be safe than sorry!  Face paints are truly cosmetic products that may contain the same ingredients. If you contact me ahead of time, I may be able to tell if any of the paints contain a certain ingredient.  I am be happy to also do a "patch test" on the skin to make sure there are no adverse reactions.
