Like prenatal belly art, body art has been around for centuries. It has been used by many cultures to adorn the body for ceremonies and to signify one's place in society. Today, body art is used by companies to promote a product or to transform individuals for photo shoots or parties. Scroll down to see all photos.

Lady Gaga Monster!
This guy was handpicked from the crowd to be photographed by Virgin Mobile at the Lady Gaga Concert in Louisville and was a "featured" monster on their website. A HUGE thanks to James Napier for his help! I could not have done this in ONE HOUR without him! (more pictures below)
This piece was painted for the 136 Kentucky Oaks held in Louisville, Kentucky. The model is Trina Amos, a breast cancer survivor who was chosen to participate in the "Survivors Parade" at Churchill Downs before the start of the Oaks race. The piece incorporates the pink breast cancer ribbon, the beautiful horses and words with special meaning to Trina. Congratulations to Trina and all the cancer survivors!

I designed and painted the above images for the Today's Woman Magazine contest, "Show Us Your 18" and... I was the first place winner!
The two top photos appeared in the December issue of Today's Woman magazine.
The second model is my beautiful friend Ashley! Thanks so much for your time, Ashley!
I used Mehron Paradise Paints and Wolfe FX paint for this design.
